YAAAY! Apple ‘iPod Touch HD’ 10-Inch Screen!
Ok, this is something I’m excited about.. Apple *will be* (no longer “might be”) releasing a 10″ touchscreen netbook later this year.
Apple’s ‘iPod Touch HD’ Will Have 10-Inch Screen: Report (AAPL)
The possibilities are endless with this one.. It could be a stand alone device, or it could be something that plugs into a desktop workstation (example: http://www.maclife.com/patents).
Get psyched!
Dear Apple, Thanks for the time waster.
Why bother with a patch like this?
Apple TV Gets Updated, Breaks Boxee and Other Hacks | Mac|Life.
…especially after hearing the user comments on the article:
“this update, as previous ones, removes the added entries for boxee in the menu. repatch-sticking the atv brings all the good back.”
Apple TV + Boxee = Netflix, Hulu, and LOST! Love that!
Just purchased an Apple TV (yes, I’m a bit late to the game on this one), and found this article that says I can link Boxee, allowing me to watch content that’s viewable via Boxee. ABC programming (LOST), HULU content, and my NETFLIX movies. I’m *a tad* bit excited about this.

Side note: Looks like it’s taking quite some time to sync up to my iTunes library, but I’m sure it’s worth the wait. :)
Why can’t Apple take a hint? Check out the Palm Pre!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people complain about touchscreen keypad on iPhones (and the new BlackBerry).
Memo to Apple: LEARN FROM YOUR ELDERS! Check out the Palm Pre.

If Apple could make this a reality, I might actually consider switching over from my BlackBerry.
Apple TriBook – Mac of the future?
Wow…this just looks…AMAZING!

DVICE: Apple triBook needs to be the future of MacBooks (pleeease!).
I Love the iLuv i125.
For those of you who have a nice dvd library, along with a video capable iPod, this might be the perfect present to request for the holidays:
It doesn’t supprot HD or Blue-ray, but it’s a quality device that supports both dvd and iPod video.
…and the $150 price tag should make you smile ear to ear.
MacBook Touch – Need I Say More?
It’s possible that one day all keyboards will be gone, and a tablet computer will actually be the norm. Steve Jobs crushed the latest MacBook Touch rumor, but can it be that far off?
…and let’s not forget this:

New Macs Next Month
Not sure if there’s anything to it, but the latest rumor is that Apple will be releasing/announcing their new Macs next month.

They might be new and improved…but they also might just have new metal casings…
Say it with me folks: Ooooohhhh. Aaaaaahhhhh.
Ehh. :)
Apple Releases New iPods and v8.0 of iTunes – ehhh.
Apple made a few announcements today regarding a new iPod Nano, the new version of iTunes (8.0), and a software upgrade for the iPod Touch. I think I speak for us all when I say… YAWN.
The new iPod Nano: Looks longer and thinner, and is available in cool colors. Not sure why I (or anyone) cares.
iTunes version 8.0: Didn’t you just release 7.0? 6.0? If you got it right the first time, you wouldn’t have to keep releasing new versions…hmm? hmm? My favorite is that they added something to version 8.0 called “Genius.” It’s an interesting idea, and kinda cool (from their site: “Meet Genius: a brilliant way to create perfect playlists. Play a song, click the Genius button, and iTunes creates a playlist of other songs from your library that go great together. Genius playlists help you discover songs in your library you never knew you had — and rediscover forgotten favorites.”), but again… If they’re geniuses, why did it take them 8 versions of the software to figure out how to add this functionality? Not so genius after all, ahh?
…in their defense, I’m writing this post on my MacBook, and I could have also used my iTouch.
Apple = Genius? Maybe.
Apple = Smart enough to figure out how to get me to buy a bunch of their products after dumping them years ago? You bet. Grrr…..

Decisions, Decisions – Do You Really Need an iPhone 3G?
Decisions, Decisions – Do You Really Need an iPhone 3G? | Mac|Life.
I’m waiting. Here’s why:
1) Battery life…ehh, not so much.
2) 16GB isn’t enough space. I’ve got the 32GB iTouch, and that’s still not enough space.
3) MobileMe…HA! Blackberry still wins in the work phone world (as of now).
4) Is it me, or is the Blackberry keyboard still better?
Luckily, Apple always tends to release new versions around the holidays, and then the following summer, etc. Maybe they’ll come out with an 80GB model with longer batter life.
Update: Reason number 4,327,583 why I’m not running to the store just yet:
