New Policy: If the widget doesn’t exist…write it yourself!

I’m hosting this blog on WordPress’ dime, and while I’m still getting used to it, I’m noticing that it’s not as user friendly as it could be. Case in point…

This template, for whatever reason, doesn’t allow a user to easily link to the blog via RSS. Well that just wasn’t working for me, so I added it manually. You’ll now notice that the first widget on the right side now contains a few RSS links. I used some basic html and threw together an RSS widget (which lives within an HTML field widget that, thankfully, WordPress provided).

Yes, I’m geeking out.
